Sexual Misconduct Prevention & Response Task Force

Task Force Mission

Mission

The Sexual Misconduct Prevention and Response Task Force is a consortium of multi-disciplinary groups working collaboratively to support the University's strategic goals of fostering a positive environment for academic excellence.

The primary functions of the Sexual Misconduct Prevention and Response Task Force are to provide a network for the coordination of educational outreach efforts aimed at preventing coercive sexual experiences and to respond to sexual victimization of WSU students and members of the community.

It is the mission of the Task Force to collect information on sexual misconduct and advise the university on how best to address the wide scope of related climate issues through education, prevention, services to victims, and policy formation.

Members of the Task Force are appointed by Dr. Michael Tate, Vice President of Student Affairs, Equity & Diversity. Representatives of the following departments / agencies make up the Task Force and serve one-year terms.
